OUR RIVER: Floodplain and Future opens Saturday, June 7, 2-5pm at Shatto Gallery. The gallery’s annual series returns, highlighting the cultural, social, personal, emotional, and political aspects of the LA River—addressing its literal and allegorical ecosystem, including and beyond its environmental impacts. OUR RIVER: Floodplain and Future explores everything from biodiversity to autobiography in this eclectic interdisciplinary curation balancing care and despair, adventure and development, preservation and poetics.
